Where would we be without your kids? Thanks to all the parents who have trusted us with your beautiful children! There is no better praise than that which comes from the parents of our students.
Miss Julia
"I am a Firefighter/EMT and the safety of my children is my primary concern as I see many tragedies involving small children. We have a pool in my back yard and are very active in and around water. When looking into swimming lessons, I did not want "just your ordinary lesson" I wanted survival for my children. Even when you are outside with them supervising around water accidents can happen and seconds count. Julia is FANTASTIC. She is very firm for the kids who need it and equally compassionate for the more timid and shy. I have witnessed her interact with my own children and many others. She has the utmost patience and is very good at what she does. My son Michael started when he was 20 months old and he was swimming to the ladder fully clothed." --Sarah Cooksey

"Before I had children, I was at a 4th of July party where a 4 yr. old girl had jumped into the deep end of the pool in the presence of 40 - 50 adults. At the begging of a 2 year old onlooker, one adult jumped in to rescue the child from the bottom of the pool. She had sunk to the bottom and nobody knew how long she was there. While the child survived, not one adult heard nor saw her go into the pool. I now have a 4 year old and 2 year old who started lessons at 3 and 12 months. Knowing firsthand that a child could wander, trip, fall or jump into water without being seen made it absolutely vital to me, that my children know how to act and think should that happen to them. Julia has taught my children exactly that: How to act, with confidence, in water and how to think, without panicking, about getting out. I have watched in amazement as Julia taught my daughter how to swim to the steps of a pool and stay afloat, rather than sink or swallow water in a panic all before my child could walk! I have watched my son, swim the entire length of a pool with ease and confidence at the age of 3. While my children are very young, Julia has taught both of them to be extraordinarily strong and confident swimmers. Her technique with children is amazing and made me an extraordinarily proud mother of two amazing swimmers. While I always have my eye out whenever we're near water, I have the confidence and peace of mind of knowing that my children can get themselves out of trouble in the water." --Erika McHale
Update-Kelly did it! When stepping into the pool, she slipped and fell in face down. She calmly rolled over to her float and the swam to the step ready to start playing.

"While researching opportunities for swimming lessons, we felt that these lessons were too expensive for our budget. The literature implies that they are priceless because they provides an additional layer of safety for your child. We were skeptical. After the first week of lessons, we are in full agreement with that implication. The cost is minimal compared to what has already been accomplished in such a short time. By day five Eva celebrated her new confidence as a result of having overcome the natural frustration that we all feel when trying to learn something new. This was the first time she had to work through something difficult without her parents intervening. Thus, it was the first time she felt such pride and independence. Meanwhile we were beside ourselves with delight that our little girl is actually swimming confidently underwater." --Heather Diamond-Jones

"Our home is surrounded by water -- a lake across the street, a pond next door and a pool in the backyard, so water safety is a priority for our two young children. Within the first week of her lessons, our 2 year old daughter, Sophia, was comfortably going under water and swimming. We took a family vacation the first weekend after her lessons started and total strangers stood around the pool in amazement watching Sophia, jump from the sides of the pool and swim back and forth to us. This was the same little girl that kicked, screamed and threw an absolute fit anytime water touch her face the week before. Sophia is now 3 and has recently finished her refresher course. She swims with confidence in our pool daily and still amazes us with the techniques that she learned. Our 1 year old son, Jake, has also benefited immensely from his lessons. He started with the roll-float techniques at 9 months old and learned actual swimming techniques the following year. It took him a little longer to learn the swim techniques because he still had not forgotten his float lessons from the year before. After a few weeks, he was swimming like a fish and hasn't wanted to stop yet. To say that we were satisfied would be a gross understatement. These lessons were by far the most beneficial time and money that we have spent with regard to our children's safety hands down. Thanks again for taking such good care of our children." --Bobby and Jodi Ryon
"The first few days in lessons are hard because your little one is getting used to the water and is out of her comfort zone, but the rewards a few weeks later when she floats unassisted for over a minute is worth it! My daughter began as an infant and now, 3 summers later, is a much stronger swimmer than her peers who have taken lessons with other instructors, but more importantly she knows what to do if she ever fell into the water without an adult nearby. Julia and her family always make us feel welcome in their home and her professionalism is second to none. I would highly recommend Julia to any parent who is concerned about their child's water safety." --Jaime Sumner
"I highly recommend and strongly encourage the program taught by Julia Daum. I have witnessed the amazing results of this swimming survival program with my daughter who is now 2-1/2 years old. She has been swimming with Julie since she was 8 months old and has zero fear of the water. She confidently swims underwater with her head submerged and completes the swim-float-swim sequence taught by Julia. Other people who see her swim are amazed at her skill level given her age. This program teaches the most comprehensive survival and swimming instruction available for infants and children." --Kelly Reichelderfer
From a mom for a student... "Thank you for all of your time and patience with me- I love coming to swimming lessons and doing angel arms in my floats because of you. Thanks for letting me play in your pool and splash you with my jumping and big kicks. You have made swimming so much fun. I will always remember you and all the skills you have taught me. Love, Anjali Gupta "
"Two years ago, I watched my eleven-month-old daughter go under water. I held my breath every time she went under. As I watched, I saw her learn how to save her own life. It was the most amazing experience to watch my child learn how to turn herself to float on her back so that she could get air. No matter what position she went under the water she was able to find the surface and get air. Last year, I watched my, then, 23-month-old learn how to swim. She learned the skills that it takes to swim to the steps and get out of the pool. She was not a fan of swimming and floating, but I felt certain that if she fell into a pool she could get out. My daughter just completed her third year of lessons and she adores the pool. She is a wonderful swimmer and floater. She floats without being prompted. She also learned how to pull herself out of the pool on the side with no assistance. I watch my three-year-old swim and play in the pool and realize that she could save her own life if she needed to. Julia is a patient and diligent teacher. She is wonderful with her students and my daughter loves her dearly. Thank you Julia for this invaluable skill." --Tawnya Traylor
